The team who defeated the Rams, Carrollton, also sees a notable rise as a result, jumping five spots up to No. 11 after a 34-14 win. Santa Margarita also sees a big jump following what was a dominant 42-7 ranked win over Centennial.
Three new teams also enter the rankings after losses to multiple ranked programs, with all of Allen, Saraland, and Clay-Chalkville now entering the mix late in the season. The latter two will meet this week in Alabama’s Class 6A state title game.
