The 2025 high school football season has now officially come to an end, meaning that our Top 25 rankings receive its’ final update of the year. Let’s take a look at that update, as well as which team finished the season at No. 1 overall.

While there were many teams to pick from, finishing the season as the nation’s No. 1 team are the Buford Wolves out of Georgia. Jumping a spot, Buford concluded the season with a ranked victory over Carrollton to claim Georgia’s 6A title, 28-21, to cap an undefeated 15-0 season.
In addition to Buford, a few other ranked teams also saw notable jumps in the final update, with Santa Margarita among those.
A total of five teams were also new additions to the final Top 25 after a strong finish to the season that included state titles in their respective states, headlined by Florida’s Raines at No. 12.
