Meassick, Clemons Headline Florida High School Week 6 Performances

Following are some of the best Week 6 performances from around the state in Florida high school football.

QB Sabby Meassick (Tohopekaliga)

Meassick posted some eye-popping numbers in Week 6 of the Florida high school football season, completing 30-of-43 passes for 587 yards and 6 touchdowns in Tohopekaliga’s 42-0 win over Celebration.

RB Amari Clemons (Marianna)

Clemons rushed for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns on 15 attempts in Marianna’s 43-21 loss to Godby.

RB Corey Simms (Mitchell)

Simms rushed for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns on 20 attempts in Mitchell’s 31-10 win over Land O’Lakes. The sophomore also had a catch for 7 yards, as well as a tackle defensively.

DE Gabriel Birnbaum (Monarch)

Birnbaum had one of his best performances of the Florida high school football season in Week 6. He was a big reason Monarch held Olympic Heights scoreless in a 45-0 win, compiling 10 tackles, 6 TFL, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble.

WR Ramel Hernandez (Melbourne Central Catholic)

Hernandez had 6 receptions for 147 yards and 3 touchdowns in Melbourne Central Catholic’s 49-0 win over Father Lopez.

QB Haden Klees (Wakulla)

Klees completed 19-of-35 passes for 242 yards, 4 touchdowns, and an interception in the War Eagles’ 35-22 win over Rickards.

QB Justynn Fundora (Braddock)

Fundora completed 14-of-22 passes for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns, and he also rushed for a score in Braddock’s 29-26 win over Ferguson.

QB Jett Yurgealitis (NSU University)

Yurgealitis, who was the ITG Next Florida September 2023 Athlete of the Month, completed 13-of-20 passes for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Sharks’ 35-0 shutout win over Oxbridge Academy. The senior also rushed for 4 yards and a touchdown on 2 attempts.

WR Julian Nasco (Tohopekaliga)

Nasco had 6 receptions for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns in Tohopekaliga’s 42-0 shutout win over Celebration.

QB Joseph Allen (Melbourne Central Catholic)

Allen completed 13-of-17 passes for 233 yards, 4 touchdowns, and an interception in the Hustlers’ 49-0 win over Father Lopez.

RB Cole Hayes (Riverdale)

Hayes rushed for 191 yards and a touchdown on 23 attempts in Riverdale’s 35-14 loss against Charlotte.

QB Cedrick Bailey (Chaminade-Madonna)

Bailey completed 16-of-29 passes for 224 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Lions’ 35-27 win over Coconut Creek.

RB Javian Mallory (West Boca Raton)

Mallory rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts, while also catching two passes for 14 yards and a score, in West Boca Raton’s 36-0 win over Deerfield Beach.

LB Ty Jackson (Seminole Ridge)

Jackson had 15 tackles in Seminole Ridge’s 21-18 loss to John Carroll Catholic.
