In a matchup between two of the top teams in the country, Mater Dei (CA) defeated St. John Bosco (CA) last Friday night by a final score of 42-21.
The Monarchs got a massive performance from sophomore quarterback Elijah Brown who threw for a total of 257 yards and five touchdowns, four of which were combined between wide receivers CJ Williams and Cooper Barkarte. The Braves on the other hand also received a big game through the air between the duo of Katin Houser and Pierce Clarkson.
With the win, Mater Dei has now won seven of their last 11 meetings between the two. Does this win cement the Monarchs as the top high school football team in the country?
