Making Every Game Count

After longtime coach Tom MacPherson left Ridgeview a few years back, the teams have struggled. This is now Cameron Porch’s team and last season was a rebuilding one after losing 22 seniors. The team went winless, but Coach Porch is looking ahead to next season to see the progress they can make as a school.

This upcoming season talent is not what the Panthers lack. Big names that had great numbers last year like quarterback Tyler Huff and receiver Kairan Turner will lead the offense for Ridgeview. Their area of concern is on the defensive side of the ball, where they lost a lot of players to graduation. All the linebackers however are returning and hope to be Porch’s bright side of the defense.

Coach Porch stressed to In the Game that every game is important this season. His players need to work hard and stay focused. This season will be Porch’s first full season, so he is ready to show what his team can do when they take the field in the fall.
