Here are our top 10 performers from recent action in the 2026 Georgia high school boys basketball season.
Lowndes sophomore guard Ar’Tavian “Bubba” Brown has led the Vikings to the top of Region 1-6A standings so far in 2026 with standout performances, including his recent 23-point, four-rebound, and two-steal performance against Richmond Hill in Lowndes’ 63-60 overtime thriller victory earlier this week. He also scored 29 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in the Vikings’ 70-65 win over Camden County earlier in January that was the first of four straight region victories for the Vikings. Brown had a monster dunk in that game that brought down the Crimson Coliseum.
Starr’s Mill junior Tyler Griffin set a career-high and school record in an 83-77 win over Northside-Columbus earlier this week in their Region 3-4A matchup. Griffin had a huge night with 43 points, which included five 3-pointers and 14-of-16 free throws made. Griffin added nine rebounds and three steals to complement his outstanding record-setting performance.
Brookwood junior point guard Masai Knight led his Broncos boys basketball team to a big 72-67 region road victory over the Berkmar Patriots with a 17-point performance. Knight also added six assists in the game.
Pope senior Drew Abney has been red-hot so far in 2026 for the Greyhounds as he has led the team in scoring in three of the team’s wins to start January. He led the team with 31 points versus Paulding County in Pope’s 90-68 win over the Patriots on Jan. 3. Then Abney led Pope in scoring with 19 points in their 59-46 win over Creekview on Jan. 9, and in one of their most recent games, Abney had 28 points against Riverwood to lead Pope to a 77-65 victory over the Raiders.
Eastside junior guard Jevon Sullivan had a big night against Cedar Shoals with a team-high 17-point performance while adding six rebounds and two assists in the Eagles’ 57-48 region win over the Jaguars to improve to 12-5 overall on the season.
Locust Grove senior guard-wing Tyler Jones led the Wildcats boys basketball team in scoring in two of their recent wins, including a 27-point night in Locust Grove’s 59-58 win over Union Grove, then with 17 points in another region victory over Eagle’s Landing earlier this week. Jones has been a big reason for the Wildcats’ 16-2 start to the season.
Pace Academy senior guard Jaydon Avery has been a force so far for the Knights in 2026, especially recently with back-to-back 17-point performances against the Mays Raiders and Drew Titans, both wins for head coach Sharman White’s team. Avery also added six assists in the 71-53 victory over the Raiders, while contributing five assists and four steals in the 62-44 win over the Titans. The Knights are undefeated in region play through their first six region matches.
Calvary Day senior Chol kiir Chol Deng scored 12 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and had two blocks in the Cavaliers’ 60-50 win over Jenkins Friday night.
Holy Innocents’ senior wing Devin Hutcherson led his team in scoring with 24 points while adding 13 rebounds to lead the defending state champion Golden Bears to a 67-59 win over KIPP Atlanta this past Friday night.
Walton senior combo guard Adrian Falayi led the Raiders to their 17th win on the season Friday night with a team-high 18-point performance in Walton’s 54-53 nail-biter over Cherokee. Falayi also had two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one blocked shot in the big region road victory.
