On their home soil, Union County Varsity football is in the zone. Winning four home games out of the seven played, Union County has shown that they are comfortable on their home turf. The team had a roller coaster season, filled with wins and losses. Starting the season with a strong win against Hamilton County on their home field, Union County preceded to suffer a loss to Newberry High school.
Union County’s determination, no matter the wins or losses, has helped the team stay determined throughout the season. Hopefully this determination will carry the team to defeat their rival, Newberry High School, in the upcoming 2017 season. Union County suffered a 22-40 loss to their rival this past season, but if the fire the team shows on their home field is there, then the team has a chance to get revenge.
