Lee had another successful year under head football coach O.J. Small. The Generals went 10-2 last season and were undefeated in their district play. The only regular season game loss was against Rains week one with the final score 34-28. They made the playoffs and lost in the final four to Plant with a final score of 27-19.
Going on to this season, Lee has a tough road back to the final four. The first game of the season is against another football powerhouse Bolles. If they get past Bolles they still have another challenge in Rains week two. Rains was the only team last season to beat Lee in the regular season, so this game means a little more to coach Small and the generals.
The challenge for Lee now is getting past the final four. The powerhouse in states is St. Thomas Aquinas, who has a lot of top 100 players in the state on the defensive side of the ball. The Generals will likely go back to the playoffs, but the question is how far they will go.
