Gainesville QB Kharim Hughley Among Top Performers in Week 2 of 2025 Georgia High School Football Season

Here are our Top 10 performers from Week 2 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season.

Top Offensive Performances

McEachern running back Henry Pullen had 26 carries for 224 yards rushing and two touchdowns while adding a third touchdown on a 42-yard reception to give him three touchdowns on the night to lead the Indians to a 21-0 win over North Cobb Friday night.

Berrien running back Gene Watson had 43 carries for 305 yards and six touchdowns to help lead the Rebels to a 47-21 win over Lanier County.

Newnan quarterback Brodie Campbell completed 28-of-46 passes for 505 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Cougars to a thrilling 60-56 win over East Coweta.

Peach County running back and athlete Ashton Barton had three receptions for 102 yards, including a 96-yard touchdown catch, along with 54 yards rushing and two touchdowns to help Peach County defeat Perry 27-6.

Hebron Christian running back Devon Caldwell had 328 rushing yards with four touchdowns to lead the Lions and head coach Kenny Dallas to a 45-29 win over Fellowship Christian.

Gainesville quarterback Kharim Hughley had a four-touchdown game to lead his Red Elephants to a 49-7 win over Moody, Alabama. He completed 12-of-18 pass attempts for 195 yards and three touchdowns while rushing three times for 20 yards and one touchdown.

Top Defensive Performances

Milton athlete Eberechukwu “EB” Joshua Bailey had quite a night to help lead his team to a 24-17 win against The First Academy in Orlando. He came up with an interception to seal the win for the Eagles at the end of the game, and earlier in the game, he had a 57-yard punt return for a touchdown. Bailey also had three tackles and four pass breakups. On offense he had two receptions for 18 yards.

Buford linebacker Kanon Nelson came up with several big plays for the Wolves’ defense in their win over Benedictine. The senior had six tackles, including one tackle for loss; a quarterback pressure; one interception; and a blocked punt.

Peach County defensive back Bryson Hughley had five tackles, one pass breakup, and a key interception to halt a Perry drive and avoid a Panthers touchdown.

Top Special Teams Performances

Norcross kicker Elijah Frey, a senior, kicked a 50-yard field goal, was a perfect 6-for-6 on extra point attempts, and averaged 40 yards per punt on four punts to help Norcross to a 45-28 win over Mill Creek.
