Florida High School Football Rankings Week 3

There is a new No. 1 in our Top 25 Florida high school football rankings for Class 1A-4A entering Week 3.

Chaminade-Madonna takes over the spot after an impressive win over Western last week that put them at 2-0 on the young season.

Also moving up a few spots in the Top 10 was the Florida High Seminoles, who also picked up their second win on the season after a dominant win over Godby.

Orlando Christian Prep and Madison County take some of the biggest falls this week. OCP did not play last week due to COVID-19 related issues, leading them to get jumped by a few teams that did participate in competition.

Lastly, Foundation Academy also moves up a couple of spots after a shutout victory over Cambridge Christian.

Lot’s of movement in the rankings this week. With more action this week, they are sure to change again. We’ll see how it plays out.

A majority of the teams across the state finally kicked off their seasons for real last week. And when all was said and done, it left for plenty of movement in our Week 3 Class 5A-8A Top 25 Florida high school football rankings.

Seminole (Sanford) looked solid again in their outing against Riverview Sarasota last week, winning by a final score of 35-6.

American Heritage lost in what some would say a shocking upset against Treasure Coast, dropping the Patriots two spots in the rankings. Treasure Coast, meanwhile, moves up four after the impressive win.

Two teams from the North Central Florida area cracked the Top 25 this week, with the Columbia High Tigers coming in at No. 22 after defeating American Heritage (Delray) in their opener.

Rounding out the rankings are the Suwannee Bulldogs, who have also looked impressive and picked up a season-opening win over Dixie County last week.

With plenty of games to still be played, we’ll see how the rankings look following this week’s slate of games.
