With the 2023 Florida high school baseball season having come to a close, we take a look ahead to next year and offer our way-too-early Top-25 teams for the 2024 campaign.

We begin with Nos. 21-25, a group headlined by Class 5A’s Columbia and 6A’s Winter Springs, both of which reached the state semifinals this season. Windermere also reached a regional final in Class 7A, while South Walton and Benjamin were eliminated in the regional quarterfinals after strong regular seasons.

16. North Marion (4A)
This next group of teams in our 2024 Florida high school baseball rankings includes two defending state champions, 4A’s North Marion and 2A’s Lakeland Christian, as well as Class 2A runner-up St. Johns Country Day. In Class 7A, Park Vista made a run to the state semifinals, while Lake Mary was one of the top regular-season teams.

The Nos. 11-15 range features one state runner-up, Class 7A’s Plant, as well as two state semifinalists, Doral Academy and Providence. Pace was one of 6A’s top regular-season teams prior to falling in the regional quarterfinals, while Miami Columbus reached the 7A regional finals, where they fell to eventual state champion Stoneman Douglas.

6. American Heritage (5A)
The Top 10 of our 2024 Florida high school baseball rankings begins with a group that includes the teams that faced off for the 2023 Class 5A state title in the Nos. 6-7 spots, Jesuit and eventual champion American Heritage. Viera sits at No. 8 after finishing 2023 as the Class 6A runner up. Montverde Academy and Archbishop McCarthy will be talented once again after regional final playoff exits this spring.
5. North Broward Prep (3A)
The top five begins with North Broward Prep, which fell just short of yet another state title this spring, losing in the Class 3A final. North Broward Prep will return prominent names such as Riley Luft, Gian De Castro, Mateo Gray, and Ryan McPherson from a team that finished 27-5 this year.
4. Calvary Christian-Clearwater (3A)
A team that will lose a significant amount of production on the mound, Calvary Christian-Clearwater comes in at No. 4. The Warriors outscored opponents 240-60 on their way to a 28-4 record and a Class 3A state title. They’ll return the likes of Andrew Tess and Grayson Gibson in 2024.
3. Sickles (6A)
The 2023 Class 6A state champions, the Gryphons sit in the No. 3 spot after a 30-2 season in which they outscored opponents 212-60. Sickles will have Cameron Guise, Jordan Yost, and Brandon Gonzales back next spring.
2. IMG Academy (Independent)
After a dominant 2023 season in which they went 25-0 against one of the state’s toughest schedules, IMG Academy sits in the No. 2 spot on this list of best 2024 Florida high school baseball teams. The Ascenders, who outscored opponents 239-47 this spring, will return the likes of Noah Franco, Sean Gamble, Dean Moss, and others from that team.
1. Stoneman Douglas (7A)
Stoneman Douglas holds the No. 1 spot in our way-too-early 2024 Florida high school baseball Top 25 power rankings, a ranking they also held throughout the 2023 season. The Eagles went undefeated at 29-0 to win their third consecutive Class 7A state title, and they will be loaded once again in 2024, thanks to names such as Devin Fitz-Gerald, Rylan Lujo, and Jayden Dubanewicz returning from a team that outscored opponents 248-33.
