FHSAA Class 1A Elite 8 Preseason Predictions
We make our predictions for who will make it to the Elite Eight in FHSAA Class 1A.
In the Florida football Class 1A, Region 2 final, a possible Taylor County versus Port St. Joe matchup would be intriguing to watch.
For one, the Bulldogs return quite possibly their biggest offensive weapon this fall in sophomore quarterback Kevis Thomas. He had over 1,000 yards through the air and on the ground last season.
Furthermore, junior Ja’veon Harris also returns for his senior season. He led all receivers with 465 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2020.
As for Port St. Joe, the team sees plenty of talent returning that could lead to a possible playoff run.
Junior quarterback Colin Amison is back, along with junior running back and linebacker Aiden Gainer. Amison passed for over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns last season, while Gainer rushed for a team-high 512 yards.
We’ll see if this matchup happens come playoff time in November.
