In what was the final week of the 2024 Florida high school football regular season, let’s take a look back at some of the state’s top performances from Week 12, a list that includes what was a memorable showing from Flagler Palm Coast quarterback Hayden Hayes.
Hayden Hayes, Quarterback – Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs
Hayes completed 10-of-21 passes for 240 yards and three touchdowns in Flagler Palm Coast’s 62-57 win over DeLand. The senior also rushed for a season-high 127 yards and three touchdowns on five attempts.
Arthur Lewis IV, Running Back – Bartram Trail Bears
Arthur Lewis IV rushed for a season-high 283 yards and three touchdowns on 27 attempts in Bartram Trail’s 56-42 loss against Nease. The junior also had four receptions for 43 yards and yet another score.
Logan Flaherty, Quarterback – Port Charlotte Pirates
Logan Flaherty enjoyed a big game on the ground in Port Charlotte’s 39-0 win against Charlotte, as the quarterback rushed for 106 yards and a season-high four touchdowns on 11 attempts. The sophomore also completed 5-of-7 passes for 58 yards.
Shawn Simeon, Running Back – Naples Golden Eagles
Shawn Simeon rushed for 223 yards and two touchdowns on 20 attempts in Naples’ 35-12 victory over South Fort Myers. The senior also returned a punt for 13 yards and returned a kickoff for 5 yards.
Marcus Mitchell, Running Back – Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs
Marcus Mitchell rushed for 230 yards and two touchdowns on 24 attempts in Flagler Palm Coast’s 62-57 win over DeLand. The senior also had one reception for 8 yards.
Brody Graham, Wide Receiver – Barron Collier Cougars
Brody Graham had 200 yards and three touchdowns on five receptions in Barron Collier’s 63-12 win over Bonita Springs.
Carl Jean-Bart, Wide Receiver – Davenport Broncos
Carl Jean-Bart had six receptions for 215 yards and three touchdowns in Davenport’s 33-6 win over Lake Buena Vista. The junior also returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown.
Logan King, Quarterback – St. Cloud Bulldogs
Logan King completed 22-of-39 passes for 382 yards and three touchdowns in St. Cloud’s 27-25 loss to Ridge Community. The senior also rushed for 2 yards on one attempt.
Trenton Curliss, Athlete – Charlotte Fightin’ Tarpons
Trenton Curliss had 16 tackles with 2 tackles for loss, one sack, and two passes defended in Charlotte’s 39-0 loss against Port Charlotte.
Rashad Taylor, Linebacker – South Fort Myers Wolfpack
Rashad Taylor compiled 17 total tackles and two TFLs in South Fort Myers’ 35-12 loss to Naples.
