Fairview Running Back Eli Frost Voted Alabama Male Athlete of the Month

Fairview High School Football Player Eli Frost Named ITG Next Alabama Male Athlete of the Month for November 2022

Fairview High school running back and linebacker Eli Frost has been voted our ITG Next Alabama Male Athlete of the Month for his play during October, receiving 79.42% of the votes.

A junior who ranks among the state’s leading rushers, Frost had a memorable 2022 season for a Fairview team that went 7-4 to reach the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs.

Included in that season were some monumental rushing performances, as Frost carried the ball for 200+ yards in eight games this season, with two of the biggest coming in October.

On October 7, Frost posted arguably his most impressive performance of the 2022 season in a 55-13 win over Brewer, rushing for a season-high 381 yards and 7 touchdowns on 28 attempts. Frost also returned a kickoff for 13 yards in the contest, and he made 3 tackles with a TFL on defense.

For an encore performance, Frost recorded yet another 300-yard effort in Fairview’s 51-30 win over Lawrence County on October 14, rushing for 330 yards and 5 touchdowns on 35 attempts.

Frost saw limited action during the remainder of the month, but it was clear just from those two games how good the Fairview running back is. For the month he finished with 716 yards and 12 touchdowns on 66 attempts.

October was just a small sample size of Frost’s breakout campaign. By season’s end he had rushed for 2,484 yards and 39 touchdowns for the Aggies offense, while also making 27 tackles and 6.5 TFL on defense. The Fairview running back likely will enter his 2023 senior season among the preseason favorites to lead the state in rushing.

Congratulations to Fairview’s Eli Frost, our ITG Next Alabama Male Athlete of the Month, for a special season that was headlined by a memorable October.
