With the 2022 Florida high school football playoffs underway, let’s take a look back at last Friday night and some of the top performances from the regional quarterfinal round.
Kyree Edwards – Williston
Edwards rushed for 305 yards and 2 touchdowns on 37 attempts, while also catching 5 passes for 60 yards and another score, in Williston’s 46-35 loss to Wildwood.
Reggie Heywood – Calvary Christian
Heywood rushed for 297 yards and 4 touchdowns on 25 attempts, while also catching a pass for 13 yards, in the Eagles’ 49-34 win over Saint Andrew’s.
Mark Wilder – Doral Academy
Wilder rushed for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 attempts as Doral Academy topped Somerset Academy 50-25 in Florida high school regional quarterfinal action.
Cole Tabb – Choctawhatchee
Tabb rushed for 291 yards and 2 touchdowns on 37 attempts, while catching a pair of passes for 64 yards and a touchdown, in the Indians’ 42-35 win over St. Augustine.
TJ Moore – Tampa Catholic
Moore had 6 receptions for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns in Tampa Catholic’s 47-12 win over King.
Teddy Hoffmann – Saint Andrew’s
Hoffmann had 12 receptions for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Scots’ 49-34 loss to Calvary Christian Academy.
Nicholas Lardizabal – Coral Reef
Lardizabal rushed for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns on 18 attempts in Coral Reef’s 42-20 win over Braddock.
Kayleb Wagner – Baker
Wagner rushed for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns on 24 attempts, and made 3 tackles on defense, in Baker’s 33-14 win over Bozeman.
Logan Barnhill – Melbourne
Barnhill compiled 13 tackles, 6 of which were solo, along with 3 TFL, 3 sacks, and a QB hurry in Melbourne’s 28-16 win over Centennial.
Keon Keeley – Berkeley Prep
Keeley compiled 6 tackles, 4 of which were solo, along with 4 TFL, 4 sacks, and a forced fumble in Berkeley Prep’s 42-13 win over Robinson.
Xavione Washington – Tampa Bay Tech
Washington completed 19-of-25 passes for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns in Tampa Bay Tech’s 34-3 win over Fletcher.
Anthony Colandrea – Lakewood
Colandrea completed 11-of-15 passes for 185 yards and 3 touchdowns, and rushed for 30 yards on 3 attempts, in Lakewood’s 42-13 win over Clearwater.
Sean Major – Lake Wales
Major compiled 21 tackles, 17 of which were solo, along with 8 TFL, 2 sacks, and a forced fumble in Lake Wales’ 34-10 win over Auburndale.
Josiah Booker – Booker
Booker had 7 receptions for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns, as well as 2 carries for 9 yards, in the Tornadoes’ 34-31 loss to Frostproof.
Antonio Henley – Gaither
Henley compiled 10 tackles, 7 of which were solo, as well as 2 TFL and 2 sacks in the Cowboys’ 27-6 win over Pinellas Park.
Robert Hammond III – Cardinal Gibbons
