Jim Stomps and his Eagles looks to make it just a little farther in the playoffs this season. In 2015 the team began with a breakout start at 5-0 before losing the following five games to cut their season short.
Last year however, the team went into the second round of the playoffs before being knocked out by Seven Rivers Christian. The Eagles had a remarkable season, finishing with three shut-outs and two more games with seven points or less scored on them.
With defense like that your team would be a worthy opponent for anyone. The Eagles didn’t stop there. They also had an explosive offense that averaged almost 30 points a game. The Eagles also managed to score 65 points in one of their regular season games against Ocala Christian.
Although the Eagles may have lost a good portion of their starters, the work ethic and the winning mentality hasn’t gone anywhere.
The 2017 season is bright for the Eagles. We hope to see Jim Stomps and his team back in the playoffs again this year.
