We tell you everything you need to know about the 2025 Camden County High School football team in this preview, including roster changes and what fans can expect from the Wildcats this season.
2024 Season Stats
- Overall Record: 7-4
- Points Scored: 430
- Points Allowed: 317
Key Roster Losses
Camden County will miss former All-State tight end Elyiss Williams, who is now in camp with the University of Georgia Bulldogs. Williams enjoyed a stellar senior season in 2024 with 54 receptions for 789 yards and 11 TDs.
The Wildcats will also miss several of the big guys on their offensive line who have moved on, including Tazio Rosso, who is now at Louisiana Tech, as well as linemen Anthony Green Jr. and Zach Taylor.
Gone from the defense is outside linebacker Wayne Austell, who was a two-time All-Region First Team selection. He signed with Mars Hill University.
Key Players Returning
Camden County will return six starters from the defense and several starters from the offense.
Shutdown cornerback David Coleman Jr. is back, along with senior middle linebacker Xavier Brown, who had 129 tackles and two blocked field goals last year.
On the defensive line, Camden County welcomes back Jacaryous “Chunky” Holzendorf.
The Wildcats will return some exceptional talent on offense, starting with quarterback Parks Riendeau. The senior will have some competition, however, with the arrival of Will Jackson into camp. Jackson transferred in from Winter Park High School in Florida, and the dual-threat quarterback has several college offers, including UCLA, Washington, and USC.
Whoever settles in at QB, they’ll have a top wide receiver to throw to in four-star wideout Sean Green. The junior has several college offers, including FSU and Georgia.
Running backs Antwan Williams and Julian Dailey, two of Camden County’s top rushers, return to the team for their senior seasons.
What to Expect From the Camden County Wildcats in 2025
Travis Roland is back for his second season as the Wildcats’ head coach. Fans are hoping Roland and his Camden County squad will fare better than last year, especially in region play.
The good news is that Camden County has their starting QB returning in Riendeau, along with new QB transfer Jackson coming in, and with receivers Sean Green and Tyler Mapel returning, the offense should put up a lot of points again in 2025.
The defense returns six starters, so Camden County could make some noise in the unpredictable Region 1-6A this season.
2025 Season Prediction
Camden County will be better in Roland’s second season. I predict an 8-4 overall record in 2025.
