Having reached the state semifinal round, let’s take a look back at some of the top performances from the regional final round of the 2022 Florida high school football playoffs.
Blake Boda (Cocoa)
Boda completed 25-of-38 passes for 368 yards and 5 touchdowns in Cocoa’s 35-7 win over South Sumter.
JP Pickles (North Florida Christian)
Pickles had one of the most impressive Florida regional final performances, completing 31-of-46 passes for 387 yards and 4 touchdowns in North Florida Christian’s 40-35 loss to Munroe. He also rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on 9 attempts, made 2 tackles, and blocked a field goal.
Leon Washington (North Florida Christian)
Washington had 10 receptions for 173 yards and 4 touchdowns, rushed for 40 yards on 7 attempts, and made 4 tackles in the Eagles’ 40-35 loss to Munroe.
Zac Katz (True North Classical Academy)
Katz completed 16-of-20 passes for 277 yards and 4 touchdowns and rushed for 16 yards on 3 attempts in the Titans’ 58-37 win over Palmer Trinity.
Jasen Lopez (True North Classical Academy)
Lopez had 10 receptions for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns in True North Classical Academy’s 58-37 win over Palmer Trinity.
Ennio Yapoor (Norland)
Yapoor completed 22-of-32 passes for 345 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 155 yards and another score on 21 attempts in Norland’s 34-20 loss to Miami Central.
Sean Cuono (Calvary Christian-Clearwater)
Cuono rushed for 206 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 attempts, while also catching 2 passes for 4 yards and another TD, in Calvary Christian’s 63-42 loss to Lakewood.
Mark Fletcher (American Heritage)
Fletcher rushed for 194 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 attempts and caught a pass for 3 yards in American Heritage’s 31-20 win over Cardinal Gibbons.
DeeJay Holmes (Pahokee)
Holmes compiled 14 tackles, 6 of which were solo, 4 TFL, and 2.5 sacks in Pahokee’s 21-20 loss to Hawthorne.
Jeremiah Smith (Chaminade-Madonna)
Smith had 6 receptions for 93 yards and 3 touchdowns in Chaminade-Madonna’s 49-16 win over Cardinal Newman.
Rayvon Durant (Union County)
Durant rushed for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns on 15 attempts in Union County’s 41-6 win over Lafayette.
Jeremiah Dean (Bishop Verot)
Dean compiled 15 tackles, 8 of which were solo, 3 TFL, and a PD in Bishop Verot’s 39-21 win over Frostproof.
