Bishop Kenny Continues Their Crusade

Bobby Raulerson took the reins of the Crusaders last year after succeeding the productive Mark Thornson.

In his first season as head coach, Raulerson took the Crusaders to the first round of the district playoffs. A game that he and his team believe they should have won. Losing the game by one point on a fourth and one play left a sour taste in their mouths for the end the season.

“I think we felt like while it was great to make the playoffs, we did not finish, felt like we left some games on the table,” Raulerson said.

He has instilled in his team that they must be tougher, so that next time they are fourth and one they will come out on top. His team is working hard in both the weight room and on the field to show just how tough they can be.

That shouldn’t be too hard of a goal for his team. With every one of the coaches returning this season, the level of consistency will be key in integrating his values into the team.

Although every game is important with the new district changes, the Crusaders will have tough match-ups against Ponte Vedra, Bolles and the powerhouse that is Trinity Christian.
