Berrien Rebels 2026 Football Preview

We tell you everything you need to know about the 2026 Berrien High School football team in this preview, including roster changes and what fans can expect from the Rebels this season.

2025 Season Stats

  • Overall Record: 4-8
  • Points Scored: 243
  • Points Allowed: 397

Key Roster Losses

Head football coach Jackson Dean will lose several key members from a 2025 squad that was part of a major turnaround for the Berrien Rebels.

That includes running backs Gene Watson, who rushed for 1,361 yards on 247 carries with 17 touchdowns, and Tre McQueen, who rushed for 159 yards with two touchdowns.

Defensive backs Connor Bullard and Amari Camon will be missed in the secondary after each player recorded two interceptions each last year, with Bullard also making 31 tackles and Camon making 26 tackles with a sack.

Other seniors who will be missed are Jacob Connell, Luke Lanier, and Zayden Sealey. According to Dean, McQueen and Connell will continue their football careers at the collegiate level after signing with Thomas University.

Key Players Returning

Quarterback Cash Perkins will return, as will top receiving targets in seniors Cole Stone and Jerrion Brown, along with junior tight end Logan Feldmann.

In the backfield, Dean and Berrien welcome back junior fullback Dallas Harmon.

Up front, sophomore offensive lineman Eli Yawn and junior offensive lineman Cayden Vickers are back.

On defense, Berrien welcomes back sophomore defensive lineman Anthony Duskin, senior defensive lineman Miguel Gu, sophomore linebacker Kim Wesley, senior defensive back Cole Stone, junior defensive back Durrell Mathis, and sophomore defensive back Christian Rodriguez.

What to Expect From the Berrien Rebels in 2026

“Expectations are high in Nashville,” Dean said about the upcoming 2026 season after last year’s 4-8 record that included one of the biggest wins in program history, a 7-0 first-round playoff win at top-seeded Lamar County. “We’re looking to continue to gain momentum from last season and continue to raise the BAR in a region that’s one of the toughest in the state, but we are looking forward to the challenge.”

2026 Season Prediction

Look for another solid season for Berrien with a 5-6 finish in 2026.
