Look for the “Blue Army” to make a statement in 2016. Under the leadership of Head Coach Josh Wright, the Marlins are ready to take the next step toward a championship. With 2-year starter senior Chandler Marshall at Middle Linebacker and senior cornerback Chuck Taylor getting after the ball on defense, they look to be a force to be reckoned with.

Although they lost Quarterback Cody Saunders (West Virginia), Arnold is prepared to have a say in the playoffs. Coach Wright says, “this off-season was our most successful and we just have to transfer it to the football field.” This team is ready to compete with all on their schedule playing a “hard-nosed” style of football and being better prepared than their opponents.

The Marlins are also looking for strong contributions from Senior Defensive Lineman Dalton Lykins and Senior Placekicker Nick Guzman. Underclassmen Dylan Gandy, Jarrett Dutton, and Veryl White are expected to contribute heavily this fall. A platoon of younger players will also make their mark this season.

Coach Wright states “we have developed a culture of team here at Arnold High, we are in this together. That’s how we have become the ‘Blue Army’.”

Three big games on the schedule for the Marlins are the home contest versus Mosley, Pensacola High, and West Florida High. Look for these experienced programs to challenge Arnold and define how good they will be in 2016.
