When we think of basketball greats, three players typically come to mind immediately: Michael Jordan, Lebron James, Kobe Bryant. Each of these men has had an undeniable impact on the sport and the culture surrounding it. However, I would posit that another name be added to that list.
Teresa Edwards came onto the women’s basketball scene in the early 80s. She was a member of the University of Georgia’s SEC championship teams in 1983, 1984, and 1986. She attended her first Olympic Games as a member of Team USA’s 1984 women’s basketball team.
