Over the years, Alabama high school football has produced some truly entertaining state title games, some of which have been defensive battles, while others were shootouts via many points put up on the scoreboard.

10. Hazlewood vs. Ohatchee (1970)
Hazlewood features on this list often, starting at No. 10 with their 44-0 win over Ohatchee in the 1970 Class 1A state title game. Leading that 1970 Hazlewood team was head coach Gwin Holland.
9. Central-Phenix City vs. Thompson (2018)
The lone Class 7A title game to make this list was a 52-7 win for Central-Phenix City over Thompson back in 2018. Led by head coach Jamey DuBose, this was the first of multiple high-profile meetings between the Red Devils and Warriors since.
8. Sweet Water vs. Cedar Bluff (2006)
Sweet Water posted a dominant 48-0 win over Cedar Bluff in the 2006 Class 1A state title game. The head coach of that Sweet Water team was Stacy Luker.
7. Leeds vs. Fayette County (2015)
Leeds was victorious over Fayette County in the 2015 Class 4A state title game, 55-7. That Leeds team was coached by Keith Etheredge.
6. Maplesville vs. Hubbertville (2014)
The Class 1A state title game back in 2014 produced a 49-0 shutout victory for Maplesville over Hubbertville. Maplesville that season was led by head coach Brent Hubbert.
5. Fyffe vs. Reeltown (2019)
Fyffe handed Reeltown a 56-7 defeat in the 2019 Class 2A state championship game, which begins the top five of this list. The Red Devils that season were led by Paul Benefield.
4. UMS-Wright vs. Deshler (2018)
In 2018, UMS-Wright shutout Deshler, 52-0, in the Class 4A state title game. That UMS-Wright team was led by head coach Terry Curtis, as well as quarterback Skipper Snypes, who threw for two touchdowns in the game.
3. Hazlewood vs. Hokes Bluff (1975)
Hazlewood defeated Hokes Bluff in the 1975 Class 2A state title game in shutout fashion, 53-0. Leading the 1975 Hazlewood team was head coach Larry Bishop.
2. Jackson vs. Cherokee County (2024)
One of the largest point gaps in Alabama state title history came a year ago when Jackson defeated Cherokee County in the 2024 Class 4A championship, 69-6. Led by head coach Cody Flournoy, Jackson was led by three rushing touchdowns from Ezavier Crowell in the game, while Landon Duckworth also threw for five scores.

The largest margin of defeat in an Alabama high school football state title game ever was Hazlewood defeating Georgiana in the 1989 Class 2A championship, 75-0. Leading that 1989 Hazlewood team was head coach Jackie Ferguson.
