After an action-packed Week 7 of the 2021 Alabama high school football season, the 7A-4A Top 25 rankings saw change throughout from top to bottom.
Last week saw a few notable results as Hoover, Central-Phenix City, Clay-Chalkville, Prattville, and Saraland all picked up big wins, while Hueytown enters the Top 25 for the first time this season. The Golden Gophers sit at 5-1 overall on the season and hold a 3-0 record in 6A-Region 4.
Games to watch this week that could affect the Week 9 Top 25 include:
No. 3 Central-Phenix City vs No. 16 Prattville
No. 6 Theodore vs No. 21 Fairhope
No. 9 Mountain Brook vs No. 11 Briarwood Christian
The 3A-1A Top 25 entering Week 8 of the 2021 Alabama high school football season saw change at the top-half of the rankings due to two notable results.
The two teams who fell a sizeable amount with No. 10 Piedmont and No. 11 Flomaton as both lost close contests with Piedmont falling 28-24 to Ohatchee and Flomaton falling 28-21 to Bayside Academy. With the win, Bayside Academy enters the Top 25 for the first time this season.
When looking at games to watch during Week 8, two contests including No. 4 Escambia vs No. 19 Autauga, as well as No. 14 Maplesville vs No. 15 Notasulga.
