2025 Alabama High School Football Rankings: Shakeup following latest playoff action

Following a week that featured many Top 25 matchups, here is a look at the latest Alabama high school football rankings. This update is prior to the start of the AHSAA 7A semifinals, as well as the 1A-6A quarterfinals.

In this week’s update, five new teams enter the Top 25 following a playoff round this past weekend that produced a variety of big results. Among the teams that enter this week are the Homewood Patriots, who upset Hartselle with a big 31-24 victory.

Also dropping this week was 6A’s Parker following a second round defeat to Muscle Shoals, while others such as Mountain Brook, Central-Clay County, Deshler, and Bayside Academy join the Top 25 ahead of the 1A-6A quarterfinals.

In Class 7A, the semifinals will be played this week when No. 3 Central-Phenix City hosts No. 7 Thompson, and rivals No. 5 Auburn and No. 12 Opelika collide.
