Leiya Green walks over to the track at Raines High School on a cold foggy day in November. She reflected on her four years at the school and how quickly they’ve gone by. Green has one goal her senior season.
“I don’t have a school record yet but I’m aiming for it this year,” Green said. Green won the Class 3A state title when she was just a sophomore in the long jump with 19 feet and two inches. She realized then that maybe she should pursue track and see where it takes her.
