2026 Georgia High School Football Game Predictions: Week 10

ITG Next’s Phil Jones gives his score predictions for the top six games being played in Week 10 of the 2026 Georgia high school football season.

Mill Creek vs. Buford

Friday, Oct. 23

These two programs are located roughly 10 minutes apart, which makes this such an appealing matchup regardless of the records.

That’s important to point out because although Mill Creek head coach Josh Lovelady’s Hawks may not be having the best season in terms of wins and losses, they have bounced back to win three in a row after starting the year with four straight losses.

A win over the mighty Buford Wolves would change everything, and after last week, it seems like anybody can beat anyone on any given Friday night.

Phil’s Pick: Buford 42, Mill Creek 28

Gainesville vs. Milton

Friday, Oct. 23

It’s a battle of the top two teams in Region 7-6A as the 6-1 Milton Eagles visit the 6-2 Gailesville Red Elephants at City Park.

In region action, Gainesville is 4-0, while Milton is 3-0, so the winner takes control of the region title race. Under the GHSA’s new postseason rankings rules, region champions are guaranteed a playoff berth and a home game in the first round.

Despite who wins or loses this big game, both teams are in good shape to make the playoffs, with Milton currently No. 8 and Gainesville No. 11 in the Class 6A PSR standings.

Phil’s Pick: Milton 31, Gainesville 28

Valdosta vs. Camden County

Friday, Oct. 23

It’s another big Region 1-7A matchup as Camden County travels to Bazemore-Hyder Stadium to take on Valdosta.

Valdosta is the No. 1 team in the Class 7A PSR standings, while Camden County is ranked No. 16. Camden County just two spots ahead of region foe Richmond Hill, which is currently ranked No. 18.

A loss by Valdosta wouldn’t necessarily hurt them too much, but a win by Camden County would go a long way toward securing its playoff chances.

Phil’s Pick: Valdosta 47, Camden County 28

Creekside vs. Hughes

Saturday, Oct. 24

It’s a battle of two 6-1 teams as the Hughes Panthers take on the Creekside Seminoles in a Saturday afternoon matinee.

Hughes is ranked in the top 10 of the PSR standings in Class 6A, currently sitting at No. 7, while defending state champion Creekside ia at No. 14.

However, in ITG Next’s 2026 Georgia high school football Class 6A rankings, Creekside is ranked No. 3, and Hughes is ranked No. 6.

Who wins this battle of Fairburn?

Phil’s Pick: Creekside 30, Hughes 28

Charlton County vs. Mitchell County

Friday, Oct. 23

Mitchell County head coach Kaream Hess has the Eagles soaring this season with a 6-1 record as they travel to The Swamp to take on the 5-1-1 Charlton County Indians in Folkston, Georgia, in this big Region 2-1A matchup.

Mitchell County is currently sitting in the No. 6 spot in the Class 1A PSR standings, and Charlton County is ranked No. 11. Both teams are tied for the region lead with identical 2-0 records.

Charlton County is giving up just over a touchdown per game, having allowed only 57 points through its first seven contests.

This game should be a great one.

Phil’s Pick: Mitchell County 16, Charlton County 13

Bainbridge vs. Dougherty

Friday, Oct. 23

The Dougherty Trojans shocked the world – or at least South Georgia – with their come-from-behind, last-second victory over the previously unbeaten Cairo Syrupmakers on a 39-yard field goal.

This week, Dougherty will be going for its seventh overall win of the season and a 6-0 record in Region 1-4A as the Trojans take on head coach Jamey DuBose’s Bainbridge Bearcats.

Bainbridge is 3-4 overall, with all three victories coming against region opponents. The Bearcats are 3-2 in Region 1-4A, including two wins in their past three games.

Dougherty features one of Class 4A’s highest-scoring offenses, averaging 33.6 points per game.

Will Dougherty still have its head in the clouds after last week’s big upset, or can the Trojans focus on the task in front of them against the Bearcats?

Phil’s Pick: Dougherty 35, Bainbridge 22
