Here are ITG Next’s top 10 performers from Week 7 of the 2026 Georgia high school football season.
Top Offensive Performances
Toombs County quarterback Joseph Owens completed 7-of-10 passes for 204 yards and five touchdowns in only two quarters of the Bulldogs’ 71-7 win over Brantley County.
Baker County quarterback Taylor Sanders completed 10-of-13 passes for two touchdowns while rushing for 53 yards and two more touchdowns on five carries against Spring Creek Charter Academy. Sanders surpassed 1,000 passing yards for the season, giving him 1,113 passing yards and 1,065 rushing yards.
Stephens County wide receiver and defensive back Duke Collins had six catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns on offense while returning an interception 50 yards for a touchdown on defense to help lead the Indians to a 44-28 upset win over Hart County.
Etowah running back Kingston Caesar rushed for 237 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries to lead the Eagles to a 41-14 win over Wheeler and a 5-1 record, which is Etowah’s best start to a season since 2014.
Brunswick running back Nigel Gardner broke the Pirates’ single-game rushing record of 327 yards with 363 yards against Bradwell Institute.
Thomasville running back Makari Williams rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to help lead the Bulldogs to a 38-7 win over Brooks County.
Collins Hill quarterback Makyree “Dudda” Cross threw for 195 yards and four touchdowns while completing 13-of-17 passes against Seckinger. Cross also rushed for 37 yards and two touchdowns on five carries to give him a six-touchdown performance.
Top Defensive Performances
Parkview defensive back Broc Simmons had 12 tackles, including two tackles for loss, and 1 1/2 sacks to lead the Panthers’ defensive effort in a 34-24 win over Brookwood.
Mill Creek outside linebacker Ryan Knott had four tackles, a sack, and an interception return for a touchdown to lead the Hawks’ defense in a 43-16 win over Central Gwinnett.
Top Special Teams Performances
McEachern kicker and punter Wes Sheehan kicked the game-winning 32-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Indians to a 27-24 win over region rival Hillgrove. The senior also kicked a 23-yard field goal, was 3-for-3 on extra-point attempts, and averaged 44 yards per punt to help McEachern win the field-position battle.
