Top Offensive Performances
Prince Avenue Christian running back Andrew Beard rushed for 260 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries to lead Prince Avenue Christian to a 56-17 win over Trinity Christian.
Benedictine athlete Eron Mallard had seven catches for 172 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the game against Statesboro. He also added 59 rushing yards and a touchdown to give him 231 total yards and four touchdowns.
Fitzgerald running back LaTavis “Wildhog” Devine rushed 39 times for 263 yards and two touchdowns to lift the Purple Hurricane over Worth County 25-20.
Houston County quarterback Ryan Maxwell completed 31-of-41 passes for 350 yards and four touchdowns against Westlake.
Lowndes wide receiver Kaevone Thomas had 180 receiving yards on eight receptions with two touchdowns to lead the Vikings over Long County.
North Paulding linebacker Gavin Clark, a junior, rushed for three touchdowns and 66 yards on just eight carries against Marietta. On defense, he made seven tackles, including one tackle for loss, and had a key interception to lead the Wolfpack to the win over the Blue Devils in Marietta.
Top Defensive Performances
Buford linebacker Brady Wagner made seven tackles, including three tackles for loss and two sacks, to lead the Wolves’ defense against Grayson.
Crisp County defensive back Richard Thomas had four tackles, including a sack, three pass breakups, two interceptions, and a 74-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to lead the Cougars over Dougherty.
Parkview’s Bryce Carter had nine tackles, including one tackle for loss and an interception, to lead Parkview’s defensive effort against West Forsyth.
Top Special Teams Performances
Roswell kicker Reilly Chambers was 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, connecting from 38 yards and 30 yards, respectively, and 1-for-1 on extra point attempts. He also recorded six touchbacks on six kickoffs against Archer.
