2025 High School Football National Rankings: Two teams enter latest Top 25

On a national level, many of the nation’s premier high school football teams suffered what were shocking upsets this past weekend, many of which came against in-state opponents. Here is a look at how those same results affected our latest Top 25 national rankings.

  15. Bergen Catholic (NJ) +4
  16. Miami Northwestern (FL) +4
  17. Sierra Canyon (CA) +4
  18. Thompson (AL) +4
  19. DeMatha (MD) +4

Entering this week’s Top 25 are two new teams from the states of Texas and Arizona in the Southlake Carroll Dragons and Basha Bears at No. 23 and No. 25, respectively. Both teams are currently undefeated entering this week’s action.

California’s Mater Dei is also back on the move following a significant 27-24 road victory at Bishop Gorman this past Friday night, who drop four spots to No. 6 nationally. Mater Dei previously fell a week ago after an upset loss.
