Defending 6A-7A Lacrosse Champions Ousted Early
After a stellar 2019 campaign that ended in an 8-7 win over Lambert for the state championship, Walton lost in the first round of the 2021 lacrosse playoffs to all-sport powerhouse Buford. The loss comes as a slight shocker, but not a huge upset, as the Raiders only sported an 11-7 record this season. All of Walton’s losses were within five goals, and Buford once again took advantage of the scoring margin for the win. The Wolves will continue their journey to the championship on the road at Harrison, who defeated Dunwoody in its first round matchup.
