Jamie Felix has a knack for making a strong first impression.
Less than a week before Brian English’s first opening day scrimmage as the head baseball coach at Camden County High earlier this year, he had seen enough from the then-freshman after just a few hours of batting practice. Although football commitments delayed Felix’s arrival to the team, he needed no time to adjust to the change of cleats.
