In 2017 Florida State was bound to have a strong season under rising star Deondre Francois. Unfortunately, those hopes were swiftly crushed by an Alabama defense in the first week of the season. In the season opener, Francois suffered a patellar tendon injury in his left knee and had to sit out for the rest of the season.
