With the formation of the North Florida Conference in 2011, many smaller schools had a chance to play for a title on a more level playing field. One of these teams is St. Joseph Academy. Before the formation of the North Florida Conference, the Flash’s had to play against monumental teams in the likes of University Christian, Trinity Christian and North Florida Christian.
The Flash’s laid relatively dormant in the first few years but stunned everyone when they brought home their first undefeated season in school history in 2015. This brought them into last season on a high note.
The 2016 season wasn’t as good to them as the year before, but they still finished with a record of 7-2. One of the losses came in overtime to Christ’s Church Academy.
The St. Joseph Academy Flashes are still considered a favorite in the North Florida Conference in the upcoming season. The title is still up for grabs.
