The Red Flashes had a 5-6 season last year, not winning a game in their district. They won their last two games of the season against Eagle’s View and Cedar Creek Christian. The problem this season is the three key players that have left due to graduation. Armani Scott, who was the leader of the offense at running back, left as well as two key offensive linemen Matt Hollard and Brandon Wilkes.
Losing those players will be tough, especially because of how valuable a running game is at the high school level. The Red Flashes have to win the closer games if they want to make it to the playoffs this year. The games last season that slipped away was against Hawthorne with the score of 16-14 and against Baldwin which was a hyped up game. Baldwin got the better of Hilliard with the final score 35-15.
