The First Coast Buccaneers went 4-5 last season under Marty Lee as head coach. This was a better year than the 2-7 that they went the year before. The team seems to be in a slump since their 12-1 record in 2014. The problem that the Buccaneers faced was consistency versus teams. They have either won or lost to big margins by the teams they played.
Looking into this upcoming season, the goal is to stay in games that they are losing. If they stay in games, they will have more close games that can turn into wins. Last season they lost four games by a margin of 20 points or more. If they can return to dominance in 2016, they can show the school that this two year run is just a fluke. In 2011 the Bucs were playing for a state title game, so expectations at First Coast are always high.
