47-Game Win Streak for Trenton Softball Comes to End

Trenton Softball

An impressive win streak for Trenton softball has come to an end. Baker County, behind pitcher Madison Lagle’s dominating performance, defeated the Tigers 2-0 to snap their 47-game win streak.

Lagle, a University of Southern Alabama commit, struck out 23 of the 24 batters she faced. A lone pop-up was the only non-strikeout the Tigers could muster in the game.

Trenton went 34 months without a loss.

“I didn’t want to lose because I was hoping we’d hit 50,” said Trenton softball head coach Todd Bryant to The Gainesville Sun.

Trenton is now 10-1 overall, while Baker County moved to an 8-4 record.
