4 Questions with Whit Weeks

4 Questions with Whit Weeks
Oconnee County | RB, S, LB | Sophomore

1. What challenges has COVID-19 brought upon your football season, and how have you been able to overcome them?
“The main challenge that COVID has brought on our football team is contact tracing. Contact tracing is a challenge because we’ve already had two starters miss games because they were sitting next to someone who got COVID. We have overcome this by sitting as far away from people in class as we possibly can.”

2. What goals did you set for yourself this season, and how have you been achieving them so far?
“The main goal of everyone on our team is to go back to the state championship and win. To do this we have to go to work every day and focus on who we are playing that week, take it one week at a time. If we do this, sooner than later we’ll be where we want to be.”

3. How have the OCHS coaches been helping your recruitment process?
“Coach Kriebel is really good at getting our highlights out to college coaches. He lets us know how long our highlights need to be and what to do with them.”

4. What’s the most important lesson that you’ve learned from OCHS that you will carry with you to the next level?
“The most important lesson I’ve learned so far is that you win games on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. To win on Fridays you have to put the work in during the week. You can also lose games by the way you practice.”
