2022-2023 Florida High School Girls Soccer Top-25 Rankings

With the 2022-2023 Florida high school soccer season underway, we are ranking the top 25 girls soccer teams in the state. Much like the boys rankings, this list is “power rankings”-style and is determined by taking into account the teams’ current overall record, winning percentage, and how they finished last year. There are some familiar faces among the top 10, including a few of last year’s state champions and runner ups.

The Top 10

1. Bishop Moore (4A)

Topping our initial Florida high school girls soccer rankings is Bishop Moore, last year’s 4A state champion and the early favorite to repeat. The only thing that’s kept them from perfection so far is a draw earlier in the season with No. 3-ranked Montverde Academy.

2. Bartram Trail (7A)

After falling in the regional semifinals last year to eventual state champion Creekside, Bartram trail returns a lot of talent, including senior midfielder and Texas A&M commit Grace Ivey. The Bears have dominated most opponents thus far.

3. Montverde Academy (3A)

A mainstay atop any Florida girls soccer rankings list, the Eagles could be higher in our initial Florida high school girls soccer rankings, but lack of games played keeps them at No. 3.

4. St. John’s Country Day (2A)

SCJD won its 11th state title in a row last season and is in good shape to make it 12. The most dominant Floridahigh school girls soccer team of the last decade, the only thing keeping them from being ranked higher is a loss to Montverde and a draw with 2nd-ranked Bartram Trail.

5. Lourdes Academy (6A)

Lourdes is off to a strong start again and will be fighting to return to the 6A state title game, where they fell short last year to Fletcher.

6. Durant (7A)

The Cougars are undefeated and have the most wins of any team on this list. They also have a 50-point scoring differential.

7. Cardinal Gibbons (4A)

After somewhat of a surprisingly deep playoff run last year, Gibbons is off to a hot start in 2022.

8. Benjamin (3A)

The Buccaneers look to be a strong contender in 3A again after a state runner-up finish last season.

9. Doral Academy (7A)

Doral made it to the regional semifinals in 6A last year and should still be a contender after a hot start in their move up to 7A.

10. Tampa Catholic (3A)

The Crusaders are another team that surprised many with a deep run after pulling a couple of upset playoff wins in 2022. They appear to have built on that success and look like a contender in 3A early on.
