St. Andrew’s put the cap on a perfect season with a 13-5 victory over St. Edwards to be named the 1A 2021 FHSAA boys lacrosse state champions for the first time in Tony Seaman’s tenure as skipper.

After being early favorites for the 1A crown in 2020 before the season’s cancellation, the Scots found their way to the finals with a victory over Canterbury in the semis.

Sophomore Jack Schulte netted two goals on the night, tied for the team lead, bringing his season tally to 40.

St. Andrew’s led wire-to-wire against the Pirates, pulling away with a 7-2 lead at the end of the third before racking up another six goals in the fourth.

After two final four trips in 2015 and 2018, Seaman and the Scots finally broke through to a state title.
