To excel at a sport to the point that long standing records are broken and national recognition is attained, it takes passion, determination, work ethic, discipline, and raw talent. These are all qualities that 10-year-old Clark Kent Apuada possesses and what helped him break a Michael Phelps swimming record. To beat the 23-time Olympic gold medalist’s marks requires near-superhuman levels of speed and technique. There happens to be a Superman at the Salinas Aquatic Center in California. Clark Apuada is proving that the impossible can very well become possible.
