Women’s College World Series Championship Featured 4 Players From Georgia

With the Women’s College World Series now in the books, we take a look at some of the former Georgia high school softball players who played in the championship for the Florida State Seminoles and champion Oklahoma Sooners. Florida State’s Dani Morgan forgoed graduate school to play with her team one more year and earned third team all-ACC honors. Anna Shelnutt was great behind the plate for the Seminoles and was a preseason All-American. Jahni Kerr was a Softball America Top 25 freshmen selection and posted a .308 average. Jana Johns was the only Georgian to play for the Sooners this season. She recorded 12 home runs and had a .293 average.
