Top Returning Alabama Safeties

While the state lost numerous star safeties from the 2020 season, these top returning Alabama safeties will be back next season. Not only do these players shine at the safety position, but most of them play multiple positions.

The top returning safety for the 2021 season is Anniston 4-star Antonio Kite.

A few other notables include 3A runner-up Montgomery Catholic’s two returning safeties in the top 10; Central-Phenix City’s new, versatile DB JQ Hardaway at No. 2; and 3-star Greenville S Laquan Robinson rounding out the top three.

One player to keep an eye on is Park Crossing’s Matthew Pettway, who totaled 82 tackles during the 2020 season while averaging 10.3 TPG.
