With the book closing on the Class of 2024, the page now turns to the Class of 2025, which is, as you’d expect, absolutely loaded once again in Florida high school football. A group led by some of the nation’s best players for yet another cycle, here are the five highest-rated 2025 Florida high school football recruits, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
1. DJ Pickett, CB – Zephyrhills
Florida’s highest-rated 2025 prospect is DJ Pickett, a two-way player for Zephyrhills. A five-star prospect who holds over 40 collegiate offers, Pickett is considered both the No. 3 cornerback and the No. 7 overall player nationally for the 2025 Class.
Pickett had 52 receptions for 1,033 yards and 15 touchdowns, 31 tackles, and one interception this past year for the Bulldogs, who went 8-4 to reach the Class 3S regional semifinals.
2. Jaime Ffrench, WR – Mandarin
One of the premier wide receivers in the Class of 2025 is Jaime Ffrench, who is considered the No. 3 player at the position nationally and the No. 12 overall player in the nation.
The five-star prospect, who was formerly committed to Alabama, helped lead Mandarin to an 11-4 record and a Class 4M state runner-up finish in 2023 by compiling 62 receptions for 1,247 yards and 14 touchdowns.
3. Solomon Thomas, IOL – Raines
Solomon Thomas, a Florida State commit, is considered the No. 1 overall interior offensive lineman and the No. 18 player nationally in the 2025 Class.
The five-star prospect helped lead Raines to a 10-2 record and a Class 2M regional semifinal appearance this past season.
4. Dallas Wilson, WR – Tampa Bay Tech
The second wide receiver included on this list is Dallas Wilson, who is considered the nation’s No. 5 wideout and the No. 32 overall player in the Class of 2025.
The highly-rated four-star recruit helped lead the Tampa Bay Tech Titans to a 10-3 record and a Class 3M regional final appearance as a junior by compiling 49 receptions for 872 yards and nine touchdowns. He is committed to Oregon.
5. Javion Hilson, EDGE – Cocoa
Javion Hilson, a Florida State commit who flipped from Alabama, is considered the nation’s No. 7 edge rusher and the No. 47 overall player for the 2025 cycle.
The four-star prospect was an impactful member of a Cocoa team that went 14-1 to win the Class 2S state title in 2023. Hilsom amassed 94 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, three forced fumbles, two passes defended, and one fumble recovery.
The remaining players among the Top 10 highest-rated 2025 Florida high school football recruits, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, are Mandarin safety Hylton Stubbs, IMG Academy linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng, West Orange safety Ivan Taylor, IMG Academy running back Anthony Rogers, and Vero Beach linebacker Tarvos Alford.
