Top 2022 Florida High School Football Recruits Committed to SEC Schools
The 2022 recruiting cycle is in full-swing with many of the top recruits in the state already committed. However, which of those high school seniors are committed to SEC programs? Here is a look at the football recruits from the Class of 2022 rated among the Top 100 in Florida that are currently committed to SEC schools.
Alabama
- OT Tyler Booker – IMG Academy
- ATH Amari Niblack – Lakewood
Alabama currently holds two commitments from top prospects in the state in four-stars Tyler Booker and Amari Niblack. Booker, an offensive tackle from IMG Academy, is regarded as one of the top overall offensive linemen in the country, while Niblack is one of the most-versatile athletes in the state spending time as a receiver.
LSU
- LB DeMario Tolan – Dr. Phillips
- TE Mason Taylor – St. Thomas Aquinas
LSU also holds two commits with the top being Dr. Phillips linebacker DeMario Tolan who is rated as a four-star recruit. Joining Tolan is tight end Mason Taylor who has caught 17 passes so far this season for 186 yards.
Florida
- RB Terrance Gibbs – Winter Park
- WR Chandler Smith – Bishop Moore Catholic
- OT Tony Livingston – King
- DL Francois Nolton – Edison
- TE CJ Hawkins – Berkeley Prep
- ATH Jamarrien Burt – Forest
The home-state Gators hold a total of six commits from the state’s Top 100 2022 recruits, the most of any SEC team. Leading this group are four-stars Terrance Gibbs, Chandler Smith, and Tony Livington, while Florida also holds commits from three-stars Francois Nolton, CJ Hawkins, and Jamarrien Burt. The highest-rated of the group is Gibbs, who is regarded as one of the top running backs in the state of Florida.
Auburn
- S Tre Donaldson – Florida State University School
Auburn’s lone commit in the state is safety Tre Donaldson, a versatile two-way player who is also a basketball star for Florida State University School.
Georgia
- S JaCorey Thomas – Boone
Georgia’s talented 2022 class features one player from Florida in Boone safety JaCorey Thomas, a four-star prospect who is a two-way star.
South Carolina
- S Anthony Rose – Miami Central
- S JyVonte McClendon – Lake Gibson
- S Kajuan Banks – Amos P. Godby
- DL Jamaal Whyce – Florida Christian School
South Carolina’s four commits are the second-most from Florida with all ranked from the top 50-100 players in the state. Among those four, three are safeties with all four regarded as three-star recruits.
Tennessee
- DL Vensen Sneed – Winter Park
- DL Jordan Phillips – Ocoee
The Volunteers hold two commits so far from the state, both of which are defensive linemen. Each are regarded as three-star prospects with Sneed as the highest rated of the two.
