After taking a look at the state’s highest-rated football recruits in the class, let’s shift the attention to the hardwood and take a look at the top Florida high school basketball recruits in the 2025 cycle (recruiting rankings according to the 247Sports Composite).
1. Cameron Boozer, PF – Miami Columbus
Florida high school basketball’s top recruit of the 2025 cycle is Cameron Boozer, who is not only the top power forward in the country, but also the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect in the class. The five-star power forward is one of the more sought-after prospects in the country and has averaged a double-double at 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and two blocks per game for a Miami Columbus team that has reached the Class 7A state semifinals.
2. Darius Acuff Jr., PG – IMG Academy
Considered the nation’s No. 1 ranked point guard, Darius Acuff Jr. is also the No. 9 player nationally in the 2025 cycle. The five-star point guard was one of the top players this season on an IMG Academy team that went 15-8 against a national schedule.
3. Cayden Boozer, PG – Miami Columbus
The brother of the aforementioned Cameron, Cayden Boozer is ranked as the nation’s No. 2 point guard right behind Acuff and the No. 15 overall player nationally. Boozer, a five-star point guard, has helped lead the Explorers to the Class 7A state semifinals this season by averaging 11.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.9 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game.
4. Moustapha Thiam, C – DME Academy
Moustapha Thiam is the nation’s No. 1 ranked center in the 2025 class out of DME Academy and the No. 18 overall player nationally. The five-star center, who is also currently committed to UCF, has helped lead DME Academy to a 22-9 record this season against a national schedule.
5. Jamier Jones, SF – Oak Ridge
Jamier Jones is ranked as the nation’s No. 23 overall prospect in the cycle and the No. 6 overall small forward nationally out of Oak Ridge. Having helped lead the Pioneers to the Class 7A state semifinals this season, Jones, a five-star small forward, has averaged a combined 19.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game.
