Thomasville Bulldogs 2025 Football Preview

We tell you everything you need to know about the 2025 Thomasville High School football team in this preview, including roster changes and what fans can expect from the Bulldogs this season.

2024 Season Stats

  • Overall Record: 10-3
  • Points Scored: 409
  • Points Allowed: 189

Key Roster Losses

Thomasville will miss several playmakers on offense and defense who were critical to the Bulldogs’ success last season.

That includes wide receiver Messiah Wilson, who also served as a kick and punt returner for Thomasville in 2024. He ended the season with 772 all-purpose yards and six TDs. He was a four-time All-Region selection as a member of the ‘Dogs. He is now at Point University.

Other key players not returning are defensive ends Keymon Jefferson and Geremiah Humbert; offensive lineman Jaylen Walden, who will be missed up front; and running back Ant Anderson, who will be missed in the run game.

Key Players Returning

Returning this season to lead the Thomasville offense is dual-threat quarterback Camren Hill, who has started for the last three years. The three-star recruit has emerged as one of the top QBs in South Georgia and has multiple college offers heading into his final season of high school football.

Along with Hill, the Bulldogs have another three-year starter in the offensive backfield in returning running back Lavonte Cole. The senior had his best season last year running the football with 559 yards and 14 TDs on the ground. Cole is also receiving many offers for a college home.

Athlete AJ Hill Jr. is a junior playmaker who can and will play anywhere on the field. He is a two-time All-Region First Team defensive selection.

Offensive lineman Kalebb Humbert returns to provide run and pass blocking up front.

What to Expect From the Thomasville Bulldogs in 2025

Following 2024’s breakout season and a trip to the quarterfinals, head coach Jonathan DeLay said it’s time to take the next step forward.

“The goal for the 2025 team is to win a state championship,” DeLay said. “When you are at Thomasville, that is the expectation every year, but this team has so many veterans that have been playing since their freshman year, so the experience is there.”

DeLay has eight starters returning on offense and six on defense, but even with the returning experience, there are still some holes to fill.

“We do have to replace key pieces on the offensive and defensive lines of scrimmage, so we’ll need some guys to step up in the vacated spots this year,” DeLay said.

2025 Season Prediction

Thomasville is one of our preseason Top 10 ranked teams in Class 1A-Division I, and they’ll be a team to watch all year. I like the Bulldogs to finish 12-2 in 2025.
