The Frederica Academy Knights clinched their second GISA state championship in school history with a commanding 48-0 victory over rival John Milledge Academy in the Class 3A title game at Mercer University’s Five-Star Stadium. It marked the first title ever under head football coach Brandon Derrick, who just completed his sixth season at the St. Simons school.
