Top 2021 Basketball Recruits

The class of 2021 in high school basketball is shaping up to be a good one, and these 10 players are setting themselves apart from the rest.

 

Patrick Baldwin Jr – Hamilton (WI)

The 6’9″ forward is rated as the No. 1 player in the class of 2021. Baldwin Jr. has all the makings of a future star at the next level with potential to get even better. He has interest from Duke, Georgetown, Kentucky, and others.

 

Chet Holmgren – Minnehaha Academy (MN)

Chet Holmgren, a 7’0″ center, is one of the most all-around skilled players in the class of 2021 who can do it all on both ends. Holmgren is a highly touted prospect with interest from Gonzaga, Michigan, Minnesota, and others.

 

Paolo Banchero – O Dea (WA)

Banchero comes in as the No. 3 ranked recruit in the 2021 class and is the top ranked recruit that is already committed. The Duke commit is one of the best low post players in the class with strengths in his game such as rebounding, vision, and basketball IQ.

 

Jaden Hardy – Coronado (NV)

One of the top guards in the class, Hardy is a playmaker who can create shots for himself and others with ease. The 6’4″ combo guard can score from any level with athleticism, ball skills, and vision. Hardy has interest from Kentucky, UCLA, and others.

 

Jabari Smith – Sandy Creek (GA)

The 6’10″ Auburn commit is one of the best power forwards in the class with a good overall game. Smith’s strengths include shooting the ball from the perimeter, rebounding, and passing. He continues to rise up the class rankings.

 

AJ Griffin – Archbishop Stepinac (NY)

As the second Duke commit in the top 10, A.J. Griffin is one of the most skilled forwards in the class. He has athleticism, good vision, and ability to score and is one of the best defenders in the class.

 

Hunter Sallis – Millard North (NE)

Sallis is one of the best guards in the class who can take the game over at times as a scorer and a passer. Sallis has interest from Kentucky, North Carolina, and others.

 

Caleb Houstan – Montverde Academy (FL)

The 6’8″ forward from Montverde Academy is one of the most gifted scorers overall in this class. He is a good 3-point shooter, as well as a gifted handler and passer. Houstan is committed to Michigan.

 

JD Davison – Calhoun (AL)

Regarded as the top point guard in the class of 2021, J.D. Davison has all the tools to be special. The Alabama commit is one the best overall athletes in the class, showing off his highlight reel dunks, high level defense, and outstanding court vision and passing ability.

 

Michael Foster – Hillcrest Prep (AZ)

Foster is one of the best bigs in the class with the ability to dominate at times on the court. With endless potential to get better, Foster has interest from Georgia, Florida State, and others.
