Key Losses
Terry Parker will miss the services of several solid defensive players.
Among them is athlete Jeff Brown, who had 201 career tackles, including 37 tackles for loss, as a member of the Braves.
David Smith also put up impressive defensive numbers, registering 111 career tackles with 20 sacks over the last two seasons.
Frank German, a defensive back and receiver during his time at Terry Parker, leaves with 55 career tackles.
Offensive and defensive tackle Myjioun Brown and athlete Kajuan Williams will also be missed, according to head coach Mike Holloway.
Who’s Back
Returning to the Braves for 2024 is junior quarterback Tony Kennedy Jr., a dual-threat player who had 408 yards passing to go with 460 yards rushing last season.
Joining Kennedy in 2024 is a host of seniors, including running back Santroy Wilson, receiver Andre Moore, lineman Walter Caine, linebacker and strong safety Leonard Perry, and defensive back George McGriff.
Two other players Holloway labeled as “ones to keep an eye on” in 2024 are athlete Joris Gibson and Malakhi Lewis, who is apparently a pretty good boxer too.
Look for junior receiver Sidonie Limehouse to have a breakout season.
What to Expect
Fans of the Braves are ready to see their team make a return to the 2019 season, when Terry Parker captured the 5A district championship. Holloway was part of that team as an assistant under longtime head coach Charron Dorsey, who died suddenly this past March at the age of 46.
Despite the 2-8 record in Holloway’s first season as head coach, he is confident in this 2024 Terry Parker team.
“I’m very excited about our season, and most people might be surprised, but we won’t be,” Holloway said.
This year’s team is loaded with raw talent, which is why the head coach is ready for his guys to take the field. They looked good in their spring game, a 27-10 win over Fernandina Beach.
Prediction
This will be a much-improved team with a confident coach. Look for Terry Parker to go 6-4 overall this season.

The season-opener on Aug. 23 at Atlantic Coast will be huge for Terry Parker.
